University Day 

University Day 2013 is set for Thursday, May 16!

About University Day

University Day is a campus-wide beautification event that takes place each spring.

Hundreds of students, staff and faculty gather together to plant flowers, spread bark dust, and enjoy live entertainment provided by campus groups. We also invite community members to join us!

The tradition dates back to 1905 as part of Junior Weekend, a spirited event to prepare the university grounds for commencement ceremonies. Though University Day has evolved since then, our roots still lie in campus spirit and community service.

Campus Project

In honor of University Day the planning committee chooses to contribute something to the campus each year.

Interested in contributing to University Day? Please email uday@uoregon.edu to sponsor this event. Sponsors will have the chance to have their group name appear on the University Day t-shirts worn by over 2,000 volunteers as well as on promotional materials such as event posters and websites.
