Parent and Family Programs Events
University of Oregon Parent and Family Programs plans several large events on campus throughout the year to provide opportunities to visit your student and connect to the Duck community. Our annual events include:
IntroDUCKtion
Parents of both new and transfer students are strongly encouraged to attend one of the Parent and Family Program orientations held during one of the summer IntroDUCKtion sessions. Seminars offer families and students the chance to become familiar with the UO campus, while also providing opportunities to discuss the academic offerings to extracurricular opportunities that make UO an exciting and unique place to attend college.
Parents Day Off
Held during the annual Week of Welcome events, this day of activities give parents and families of incoming students the opportunity to relax and mingle after moving their child on campus.
Homecoming and Fall Family Weekend
During Homecoming each fall, Parent and Family Programs host the annual Fall Family Weekend. This is a great opportunity to visit your student while also enjoying the fun activities across campus including a parade, pep rally, concert, tailgate, and the football game at Autzen Stadium.
Save the Date! Homecoming and Family Weekend 2013 will take place on October 18-19, 2013.
Winter Family Weekend
Also held annually, the Winter Family Weekend is a great excuse to visit your student during the long and often rainy Eugene winter. Come cheer up your Duck while enjoying activities like food tours around town, campus resource fairs, and a basketball game in Matthew Knight Arena.
Spring Family Weekend
